Terms and Conditions

Business Operations System — Simplified

Thank you for choosing AlpacaBOSS. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the AlpacaBOSS platform, including all web-based, iOS, and Android applications and associated services operated by RetailX Inc. By subscribing to or using AlpacaBOSS, you agree to these terms in full. Please read them carefully.

1. Subscription and Access

AlpacaBOSS is offered as a subscription-based service. Access to the platform is granted upon receipt of payment for your selected subscription plan. Subscription terms, billing cycles, and plan details are established at the time of signup and may be updated with advance notice to subscribers.

 

Your subscription grants access to the AlpacaBOSS web application, iOS app, and Android app (collectively, the “Platform”) for the duration of your active subscription period. Access is non-transferable and limited to the account holder and authorized users within your organization.

 

2. Payment Processing

2.1 Credit and Debit Card Payments

Credit and debit card payments processed through AlpacaBOSS are handled by our integrated payment processor partners. Current supported processors include:

 

  • BlockChyp

  • iPOSPay

  • MPG

  • CardConnect

 

Each processor operates under its own merchant agreement and terms of service. AlpacaBOSS does not store full card numbers. Payment tokenization and security are managed by each respective processor in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

 

2.2 Bitcoin and Lightning Network Payments

AlpacaBOSS supports Bitcoin and Lightning Network payments through multiple integrated providers. Current supported options include:

 

  • LNBits

  • BTCPayServer

  • Ibex Mercado

  • BitPay

 

You may use any one or more of these options. All Bitcoin payment integrations are provided to demonstrate the flexibility of Lightning Network payment capabilities within the platform. Each provider operates under its own terms, fees, and settlement schedules. Third-party fees associated with Bitcoin or Lightning transactions are the responsibility of the subscriber and are not controlled by AlpacaBOSS.

 

3. Data Ownership and Privacy

3.1 Your Data Belongs to You

All data entered into AlpacaBOSS by you or your team is owned wholly by you, the Subscriber. AlpacaBOSS does not claim any ownership rights over your business data, customer records, transaction history, or any other content you create within the platform.

 

You may export your data at any time through the platform's export tools. Upon cancellation, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow for final export, after which it will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

 

3.2 Data We Collect and How We Use It

AlpacaBOSS does not collect or store anonymous visitor data beyond standard server logs. When you purchase a subscription or create an account, we collect and store the following information for the purposes of account management, product support, and internal marketing:

 

  • Full name

  • Business name and address

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Products and services purchased

 

This information is not sold or shared with any third party, except in the following circumstance: if you actively use a third-party integration within AlpacaBOSS (such as QuickBooks / Intuit), data you choose to sync or share through that integration is governed by the third party’s own privacy policy. AlpacaBOSS is not responsible for how third-party services handle data you share with them through integrations you enable.

 

SMS Communications

If you provide a phone number and consent to SMS communications, you may receive text messages from AlpacaBOSS related to your account, support requests, or follow-up on inquiries. 4. Platform, Cloud Services, and Security

4.1 Cloud-Based Service

AlpacaBOSS is a cloud-based platform. Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. The platform is accessible via web browser and native iOS and Android applications. As a web service, continued access requires an active internet connection and an active subscription.

 

4.2 Updates and Maintenance

AlpacaBOSS proactively updates underlying technologies, dependencies, and infrastructure on a regular basis. Security patches and system updates are applied weekly or as urgently required. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where possible. AlpacaBOSS employs third-party security scanning tools to continuously monitor platform security status.

 

4.3 Shared Security Responsibility

Security is a shared responsibility. While AlpacaBOSS takes extensive measures to protect the platform and your data, you and your team are responsible for maintaining security practices on your end. This includes:

 

  • Using strong, unique passwords for all AlpacaBOSS accounts.

  • Enabling screen lockout and device security on all devices used to access the platform.

  • Utilizing role-based permission settings within AlpacaBOSS to limit access appropriately.

  • Promptly revoking access for former employees or unauthorized users.

  • Reporting any suspected security incidents to hello@alpacaboss.com immediately.

 

AlpacaBOSS is not liable for security incidents resulting from failure to follow reasonable security practices on the subscriber’s end.

 

5. Cancellation and Refunds

Refund Policy Summary

Cancellation and refund terms differ by subscription type. Please review the applicable plan below.

 

5.1 Month-to-Month Subscription

Month-to-month subscriptions require a one-time, non-refundable setup fee of $250.00, due at the time of signup. This fee covers account provisioning, onboarding configuration, and initial platform setup. It is non-refundable under all circumstances.

Month-to-month subscriptions may be canceled at any time without a cancellation fee. No refund is issued for the current billing period upon cancellation. Access to the platform will terminate immediately upon cancellation.

  • Setup fee: $250.00, non-refundable, due at signup.

  • Cancel at any time — no cancellation fee.

  • No refund for the current monthly billing period upon cancellation.

  • Platform access terminates immediately upon cancellation.

 

5.2 Annual Subscription

Annual subscriptions are paid in full at the time of signup and are non-refundable after the first 30 days of the subscription term.

If you cancel within the first 30 days of your annual subscription, a refund will be issued for the unused subscription amount less a $250.00 cancellation fee. The $250.00 fee will be deducted from the refund amount prior to processing. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of the cancellation request, or within the timeframe required by applicable law in your jurisdiction, whichever is sooner.

After the 30-day window, no refunds are available for any reason, including but not limited to non-use, dissatisfaction, or early termination. Access will terminate immediately upon cancellation.

  • Paid in full at signup — non-refundable after the first 30 days.

  • Cancellation within 30 days: refund issued less a $250.00 cancellation fee.

  • Refund processed within 30 days, or as required by applicable jurisdiction.

  • Cancellation after 30 days: no refund. Platform access terminates immediately.

 

5.3 Data Upon Cancellation (All Plans)

  • Your data will remain accessible for export for 30 days following the cancellation date.

  • After 30 days, your data will be permanently and irreversibly erased from AlpacaBOSS servers and cannot be recovered.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use AlpacaBOSS only for lawful business purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not use the platform to:

 

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.

  • Process payments or transactions for illegal goods or services.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure.

  • Introduce malicious code, scripts, or software into the platform.

  • Misrepresent your identity or business to AlpacaBOSS or your customers.

 

AlpacaBOSS reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any subscriber found to be in violation of these terms, without prior notice, where the violation poses a risk to the platform, other subscribers, or the public.

 

7. Limitation of Liability

AlpacaBOSS and RetailX Inc. are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

 

AlpacaBOSS’s total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

 

8. Modifications to These Terms

AlpacaBOSS reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. When material changes are made, we will notify active subscribers via email to the address on file at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

 

The current version of these Terms is always available at alpacaboss.com/terms.

 

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Charleston County, South Carolina.
